A Faithful Shepherdess
by Overmorrow Theatre
Devon, 1602. Meet Clorin: healer, hermit... definitely not a witch.
At summer solstice, Clorin’s instant connection with a young priest collides with her best friend’s betrothal. As both women risk the treacherous waters of love in a game loaded against them, their lives, and the script itself, splinter into chaos.
Discover a forgotten Elizabethan tragicomedy by (not Shakespeare, or the other guy) John Fletcher. This witty, unsettling, and radical reimagining grapples with what women must sacrifice to step beyond the roles they are forced to play.
Performed by recent Mountview graduates, A Faithful Shepherdess is the second production from South London based Overmorrow Theatre, after Do You Want To Know?
