What makes you, you?

Jenny is dying, and there is no cure. With the help of her wife, Marie, Jenny is given one last chance to survive - an experimental medical procedure that will let her live in a new body.

The show follows Jenny as she deals with her death, and learns to accept the person who will take her place: in her life, in her home, and in her marriage. Marie, meanwhile, must navigate the impossible: grieve the loss of her wife, and simultaneously fall in love with her all over again.

Rooted in speculative fiction, the show is about grief, identity, and the people we love learning to love someone new wearing the same face. The hostility clone-Jenny faces echoes language used by the far-right today, and by historical colonial powers, to isolate and demean those deemed outsiders.

Join us at The Lambeth Fringe for a work-in-progress performance of this multidisciplinary theatre experience, combining live performance with pre-recorded narrative structures, as we explore what it means to truly be alive.
