Baby, Love and Money
A young Chinese woman sets out with a clear plan: marry a Chinese man, live a respectable life, and make her family proud. But life has other ideas. When she unexpectedly falls for a Western man and ends up pregnant in London —unmarried and overseas—her world turns upside down.
Told with sharp humour and heartfelt vulnerability, this one-woman show boldly explores cultural expectations, love, gender roles, and the messy reality of motherhood as an immigrant. Funny, moving, and deeply personal, it challenges tradition while embracing the complexity of cross-cultural identity and female autonomy.
Audiences have called it “funny, sharp, real, painful, and heartfelt.”
Blending storytelling, comedy, and raw honesty, Baby, Love and Money invites audiences into the intimate world of a woman caught between two cultures—navigating guilt, joy, and the fight to define her own life. Expect to laugh, maybe cry, and leave thinking differently about love, family, and what it means to belong.
