Butch Chaser
A love letter to butch lesbians, created and performed by a femme who loves butches.
A one-woman show about lesbian gender identity, it is a reaction to the ongoing and alarming policing of womanhood and gender that is targeting trans women, and has broader implications for the lives of all gender non-conforming people.
A semi-verbatim piece created from interviews with members of the community, the show shares the experiences of butches and femmes in their own words, celebrating our diverse history and experiences with glamour, fun, and campiness.
Drawing deeply from historical influences, creator and performer – Alix Addinall – takes you on a fast-paced journey through the world of being butch and femme, with inspiration from burlesque and cabaret, and tongue-in cheek comedy that explores the inner lives of a vastly underrepresented portion of the queer community.
It is a fun and heartfelt celebration of what it means to walk through the world boldly and butchly.

Home of The Lambeth Fringe, The Bread & Roses, is an award-winning and innovative fringe pub theatre.
A 50-seat fringe venue above The Bread & Roses Pub, the theatre programs a wide-spread variety of productions for local as well as far-reaching audiences. Equality, diversity and artistic quality are at the forefront of the theatre's programming, which features in-house productions as well as many visiting companies. The theatre regularly hosts touring shows and has worked with award-winning ensembles with decades of experience but also frequently welcomes and supports emerging theatre-makers taking their first steps. The programme includes new writing, contemporary revivals, reinvented classics and occasionally also devised work, improvisational theatre, comedy events, family shows and physical theatre.
Recently renovated, The Bread and Roses Theatre features brand new tiered seating, with 50 new individual seats, and a professional floor.
