CLOUDS
Some stories aren’t told to be understood — they’re felt.
CLOUDS is an act of witnessing. Two figures share a stage: one speaks, one listens. Neither fully knows what they’re searching for — but something is shifting between them. Some things are shouted, others left unspoken. It all unfolds into something irreversible.
A thread connects each body to a cloud. But not all clouds behave the same.
With its poetic language, fractured rhythm, and minimal visual world, CLOUDS moves from the unfamiliar to the intimate, from absence to a quiet cry for help.
This play isn’t about answers. It exists in the space between memory and forgetting, presence and absence, being seen and being looked through.
Performed in a quiet, suspended atmosphere, CLOUDS invites audiences to listen differently — not for resolution, but for resonance. It asks what lingers when a story ends, and whether bearing witness is ever truly passive.
Created by Sule Selin Cicek, a first-generation migrant artist, CLOUDS explores what it means to witness someone you love slowly dissipating — and to wonder if it could have been different.
