Cool?!!
Cool?!! Based at the bottom of a swimming pool, Cool?!! is a semi-autobiographical story of Kitty who discusses their thoughts on swimming pools but also reflects on their 23 years of life, including their auditory processing disorder, their non-binary gender, the frightening way the world is and being unsure of who they are. Kitty is unsure of where they are in their life which I hope connects with audiences because I think we all reach a point in our lives where we're not sure of what is next and that can be scary. It is a movement based piece with moments of poetry. The themes are gender identity, water and mental health. It talks about what is going on in the world. The performance is for anyone who has ever felt lost in their life and it is about how to move forwards and how to be present. There are moments of comedy but it is mostly drama. The performance is called, Cool?!! because it questions when we say the word 'cool' in our daily life whether everything is cool and okay. Audiences can expect a dreamlike state, humour, chaos and to feel the warmth of being human.
