Critic in the Corner
Lorenzo Ford, an aging British movie star, faces a PR shitstorm and impending fall from grace when a slew of sexual assault allegations against him emerge. Upon his return to the West End stage, 27 year old theatre reviewer, Josephine Price, writes a brutally honest review of his performance for her blog, ‘Critic in the Corner’. With the help of his feckless right-hand man and security guard, Brian, Lorenzo does what any fame-obsessed, power-hungry narcissist would do to control the narrative... he kidnaps her.
A searing drama-comedy exploring what a man on the edge will do to stay on top in a world that often fails to hold powerful men accountable for their actions. Through the push and pull of corruption, power and misogyny, Lorenzo realises that Josephine is far more than he bargained for, and that her review might be the last thing he needs to worry about.
