Who was Helen of Troy? A seductress, a victim, guilty, innocent, manipulative or abducted, a princess, or a whore? Helen wasn’t just the face that launched a thousand ships, she is a woman’s with many faces, an idea that has been exploited for centuries, a woman that has never been allowed to just exist.
On the final day of the battle for Troy, Helen is sat in her room, battling her own inner thoughts and feelings. Three Helens (each of different heritages and ethnicities) portray the many different and sometimes conflicting ancient narratives of her life story. How does she feel about her own decisions? How can she convince the audience? How can she come out of her situation alive?
The play is based on original translations of ancient texts, with every scene, almost every line, having its precedent in a work of over 2000 years ago, and shows how Helen could be anyone, any woman, anywhere.

As the evening draws in, the space morphs into a lively bar with intimate nights of comedy, theatre, music, spoken word, and special one-off events and parties. A unique space with plenty of atmosphere that’s open and inclusive to all. Queer-friendly and proudly a safe space for the LGBTQIA community, with many events led by or created for queer people.
