Eulogy

Eulogy

Eulogy follows the journey of an international student trying to settle down in London. On her 25th birthday, with a new job, a lover, and friends at a party, she should be happy—so why is she still so depressed?

No matter how far you run, you can't always escape yourself. As her past creeps in, will she finally stay and face it, or run away again?

Drawing from personal narratives, Eulogy is a heartbreaking self-reflection on how our 原生家庭 (family of origin) shapes us long after we’ve left it behind. It explores the lingering impact of unhealed wounds and how past trauma can quietly resurface - even when life seems to be going well.

Presented by L Cube, a collective amplifying East and Southeast Asian queer voices, Eulogy weaves in themes of queerness and asexuality as part of a broader narrative about identity, cultural displacement, and the search for belonging. This intimate and emotionally charged piece speaks to anyone who has ever felt torn between who they are and who they’re expected to be.
