Final Queen

11 Oct 2025

Final Queen

A hot pink Holden Commodore screeches to a halt, spraying red earth across a desolate road in the great Australian outback. Behind the wheel, dripping in blood and sequins, is the last surviving member of a cross-continental drag convoy, wondering how she’ll make it out alive. She is the Final Queen.

Join Australia’s own circus queen Grace Lightning as she embarks on a road trip through the outback, dodging deadly snakes and spiders, bigoted cryptids, and axe-wielding bushrangers on a murderous rampage. But are these monsters really what they seem... ?

Think Priscilla Queen of the Desert meets Texas Chainsaw Massacre under the Big Top! Lip sync, circus, dance, and physical theatre. This is a fever dream of glamour, glitz, and extraordinary circus oozing with all your favourite horror tropes on the small stage. In a time where our queer bodies and freedoms feel increasingly under threat, Final Queen is a story about navigating the world with defiant, queer joy. Witness Grace as she battles the supernatural horrors of the Australian wilderness, ignorance, and that bit of her lace front that won’t quite stay glued down!
