five pointed hands
Always thinking about the next 'ummph'. Always groaning and moaning as the next slideshow is put on. Always loving the external factors of our own nature. 'five pointed hands' is a slashed up, vignette-driven performance piece about the symbiotic make up of humans, through cultures and egos. Semi-improvisational at it's core, with loaded baggage strung along throughout the space. The performers are instructed upon to briefly, fictitiously, live outside themselves as granular beings, that within 'five pointed hands' will collide in new ways.
Riley Hamshaw-Mills (as 'Martin Martyn The Phoenix') helms the performance as an usher for his visually similar gaggle of performers, tossing between lighthearted ballads from your uncle's secret cabaret, to silent solitude steps of wanting to be greater than your own flesh. Movement, comedy and live art all bundled within the hour, harboring an experimental score as it's beating pulse. Expect to leave with a quench for more questions and an inapplicable understanding of the power of bald caps.

The Glitch is a vibrant artsy café & bar and unique creative space in the heart of Waterloo, created by VAULT Creative Arts, producers of VAULT Festival. Good coffee, cheeesy toasties, cold beers, delicious cocktails and the most welcoming staff. It’s the perfect place to meet with friends, work in comfort, or relax admiring local artworks. As the evening draws in, the space morphs into a lively bar with intimate nights of comedy, theatre, music, spoken word, and special one-off events and parties. A unique space with plenty of atmosphere that’s open and inclusive to all. Queer-friendly and proudly a safe space for the LGBTQIA community, with many events led by or created for queer people.
