Girls on Fire

27 - 28 Sept 2025

Girls on Fire

Girls on Fire follows the true story of Hannie Schaft and Freddie and Truus Oversteegen, three young women who were fundamental parts of the Dutch resistance during WWII. As a trio, they seduced and killed civilian traitors and Nazi soldiers, posing as Moffen girls to gain the mens’ trust and lure them into the woods to their demise. Whilst Girls on Fire discusses the brutality and evil that faced humanity, we aim to tell a story of resilience, bravery and incredible sacrifice, giving space and attention to the women who inspired us to make this piece.
