Abandoned at birth by his father, Lucian, a blind man, has never seen the world. Years later, Lucian survives on instinct, a cane, and one loyal friend until his estranged father returns, offering him a chance to see.

But seeing doesn't mean understanding. As Lucian stumbles through a world of faces he can't read and colours he can't trust, he falls in love, loses his best friend without a trace, and chases a truth he's convinced he already knows.

He can finally see everything. But does he know what he's looking at when the people closest to him turn out to be the most blinding of all?
