The Magic Sweet Jar - Vauxhall City Farm

17 Oct 2026

The Magic Sweet Jar

by Weaver Line Theatre

When Louisa falls through a magical sweet jar into Sweetland, a world made entirely of sweets, she must brave a dangerous quest to find her way home before the wicked Lord Liquorice catches her. Along the way she befriends a loveable chocolate creature, crosses a Lemonade Sea, climbs Peppermint Mountain and discovers that friendship and kindness can help us even through the most difficult of times.

Created for children aged 6+ and their families, The Magic Sweet Jar is a brand-new family musical bursting with original songs, live music, puppetry, masks, storytelling and plenty of audience interaction. It invites children to laugh, imagine and become part of the adventure while exploring themes of emotional resilience with warmth, humour, and magic.

Developed with support from the Marlowe Theatre, The Magic Sweet Jar is an enchanting theatrical experience for the whole family that proves the greatest strength of all is staying soft.

Situated right next to the on-site café, the space can be expanded into a larger open-plan area for bigger events by opening up the adjoining wall, offering great flexibility for Lambeth Fringe performers.

Vauxhall City Farm is one of London’s most loved urban farms, nestled just minutes from Vauxhall station. Known for its welcoming community feel, it offers a unique blend of rural charm and urban accessibility. Hosting a show here means being part of a lively, inclusive environment that brings together creativity, community, and a touch of the countryside in the heart of the city.
