Manuhiri, /ˈmanuːhɪəri/ noun. Visitor or guest.

In the darkness, something stirs.
Manu belongs to the forest. Em dreams of the ocean. When their worlds collide, fragments of a shared past begin to surface, opening the door to forgotten stories, strange worlds, and a land that has memories of its own.
Myth and memory collide in this contemporary epic poem about sisterhood, indigeneity, and what it means to call a land home. Manuhiri is a tender, unique and magical tale inspired by Māori oral storytelling traditions, spoken word and pūrakau (mythology).

The Golden Goose is a fully air-conditioned, 85-seat theatre and is near Oval Tube close to the heart of Camberwell. The theatre was founded by Michael Kingsbury in 2020 and exists as a creative hub for artists to make all kinds of theatrical experiences. Since opening, we have hosted multi-Offie-winning company Out Of The Forest Theatre, Fringe-First winner Chris Larner, and a new horror company featuring new work by Olivier award-winning Morgan Lloyd Malcolm & Abi Zakarian. Chewboy Productions' "DJ Bazzer's Year 6 Disco" won an Offie for its run at the Golden Goose in 2021. Founder Michael Kingsbury was awarded ‘Outstanding Contribution To Pub Theatre’ by London Pub Theatre’s.
