Manuhiri
by It's a Bird Productions
Manu doesn’t know these lands, but they know her... .
‘Manu’ - a bird, winged creature. ‘Whiri’ - to seal, stamp or welcome.
Manu doesn’t remember much from that time. A fire pit, a flowing river, whispering in the trees. But when someone arrives promising to give her the answers she’s seeking, she is thrown into a world she doesn’t understand and must find her way home one way or another.
Myth and memory collide in this contemporary epic poem, as we voyage across oceans and lands steeped in history to find out what it really means to belong.
