PAUSE - The Clown Opera
The Maestro aspires to conduct a grand opera - a real orchestra, real singers. But arriving on a virtually empty stage he soon discovers that what he took to be an orchestra (the audience) clearly does not have any instruments. Two hapless cleaners appear with mops and buckets containing an assortment of seemingly random objects. Stumbling upon the dormant conductor, the cleaners’ well-meaning but disastrous attempts to assist spiral out of control, music collides with mess, clowning stumbles into opera and a long-lost operatic masterpiece is ultimately uncovered - Pause!
A whimsical escape from the everyday, Pause: The Clown Opera is a family-friendly show which invites audiences of all ages to step out of reality and enjoy the beautiful chaos.

A 50-seat fringe venue above The Bread & Roses Pub, the theatre programs a wide-spread variety of productions for local as well as far-reaching audiences.
