Quietam Release
When Nina & Freddie lure their estranged older sister, Bedelia, back to London after 20 years, under the guise that their Father has gone missing, Bedelia is forced to confront the truth of her disappearance. Will honesty be enough to release the tension in her legs from running from her father for 20 years. Can Nina & Freddie convince her to stay home despite her deep-rooted suppressed trauma. Glass breaks and arguments ensue, as they realise poetry will never be enough to truly say what needs to be said aloud.
Quietam Release explores themes of repressed memories, family trauma, motherhood and sexual abuse through a conversation between 3 estranged siblings, taken place in their childhood home. The use of poetry, surrealism & secrets make this meeting unique.
