Some New Kind Of Kick Presents 'Once A Jolly Swagman' (1949)

Some new kind of kick – celluloid rock n roll trash on a Friday night.

Set and filmed at New Cross Speedway, this features great performances and riding at a time when queues would be going some distance up the Old Kent Road three times a week. Dirk is an aspiring and then successful rider who sees behind the curtain of the glamour.

Venue: The Cinema Museum

London’s Cinema Museum is devoted to keeping alive the spirit of cinema from the days before the multiplex. Set in historic surroundings in Kennington, close to the Elephant & Castle, The Cinema Museum houses a unique collection of artefacts, memorabilia and equipment that preserves the history and grandeur of cinema from the 1890s to the present day.

The Cinema Museum will be showcasing a series of events and screenings under The Lambeth Fringe.

Please note this is an ‘umbrella venue’ -the shows have already been programmed as part of the Lambeth Fringe and this space is therefore not available for artists to apply to.
