The Ballad of Cailleach
by Erinn McDonnell Productions
This all new original Irish-folk musical is set in 1920's Roscommon, in a time of famine, hardship and folklore. It is a spiritual and uplifting story following young Aíne as she seeks answers and knowledge from the fae, and the village wisewoman Fiadh, in order to understand the uncertainty around her. It is a mostly light-hearted tale surrounding family, folklore and love, all accompanied by a live folk band; think euphoric ensemble numbers, ceilidh dances and a focus on nature, its continued importance and its folklore. This musical work is made up of talented and passionate young actors, creatives and friends and is appropriate for families and older audiences alike. We look forward to seeing you there!
