The Clapham Book Festival 10th Anniversary

The 10th annual Clapham Book Festival is here!

Join us on October 17th at Omnibus Theatre for a day of interesting and entertaining conversations with acclaimed authors and a literary walk. We have a great line-up for you this year!

We’re excited to present two best-selling crime writers, Vaseem Khan, author of the Malabar House series and a new series set in the world of James Bond, and Abir Mukherjee, winner of 2025 crime thriller of the year and author of the acclaimed Wyndham and Bannerjee series, in conversation with local crime writer, Julie Anderson.

We’re also delighted to feature the  historian and distinguished biographer, Anne Sebba, discussing her latest book is The Women's Orchestra of Auschwitz; A Story of Survival. In the evening two eminent journalists from Clapham discuss news, espionage and much more. Gordon Corera is Security Correspondent for BBC News where he covers terrorism, cyber security, the work of intelligence agencies and other national issues. He co-hosts The Rest is Classified podcast with former CIA analyst and spy novelist, David McCloskey.  He will be talking about his new book The Spy in the Archive with Adam Raphael,  former presenter of BBC’s Newsnight. He has been a foreign correspondent for The Guardian, the political editor and executive editor of The Observer, and home affairs editor of The Economist.

There is the prize presentation of the inaugural McNeile Writing Competition for emerging writers during the afternoon of the 17th and the ever-popular Clapham Literary Walk, on 10th and the 17th October.
