Carter Davis was a social outcast until he discovered The Halo Effect, which proposes that our looks govern our lives and dictate the success of relationships, friendships and careers. Thanks to this, he has reinvented himself as a hugely successful Miami influencer.
Carter's story runs parallel to that of Dee Murphy, a Dublin single mother whose 14-year-old son idolises him. As Dee uncovers the extreme methods used to create the Halo Effect, she is disturbed by Carter's attitudes towards women, recognising the same manipulative and misogynistic language her abusive ex-husband once used.

A 50-seat fringe venue above The Bread & Roses Pub, the theatre programs a wide-spread variety of productions for local as well as far-reaching audiences. The theatre regularly hosts touring shows and has worked with award-winning ensembles with decades of experience but also frequently welcomes and supports emerging theatre-makers taking their first steps. The programme includes new writing, contemporary revivals, reinvented classics and occasionally also devised work, improvisational theatre, comedy events, family shows and physical theatre.
Recently renovated, The Bread and Roses Theatre features brand new tiered seating, with 50 new individual seats, and a professional floor.
