The House on Chapel Street
‘The House on Chapel Street’ is a new play by emerging writer and director Arran Burr. This new play focuses on a family in Altricham during the First World War. Can they cope when the threat of conscription looms over their newly 18 year old son? Can this family and it’s new members stick together when the world seems focussed on tearing itself apart? And what do they do when everything they once knew to be true, changes?
This naturalistic play explores themes of family, duty and loss in a wartime setting. It invites asks you to see how conflict, however big or small, impacts even the most intimate settings. It also invites you into the Lowe family household, a family that’s hard not to love. Come along for a night of love, loss and theatre.
