The Limbo Room

A new tragicomedy exploring the often invisible experience of being “in between.”

Set in a surreal world, people enter the Limbo Room when they begin to question the direction of their lives. Within this strange, bureaucratic space, each person is assigned a clerk to help determine whether they have found their true purpose. Here, every life is tied to a destined soulmate, a connection untouched by distance or circumstance. When both soulmates have fulfilled their purpose, they are able to reunite in the afterlife.

Willow uncertainty about her future with soulmate Nolan begins to unravel, she is gripped by the fear that she has not yet found her purpose and that she will lose him not only in life, but beyond it. Convinced her meaning cannot exist without him, Willow spirals into increasingly desperate attempts to secure their shared ascension, from ritualised acts of care to the pursuit of impossible cures.

Blending love, absurdity and spirituality, The Limbo Room explores grief, control and the search for meaning.

From the Creator:

‘The Limbo Room grew out of my interest in reincarnation and the idea that we move through cycles, repeating patterns until something shifts. I was also thinking about how difficult it can be to move on from someone you’ve depended on, and what happens when you’re forced to look inward for meaning. This work isn’t about resolving fear, but about sitting with it honestly and allowing transformation to happen in its own time.’
