words, songs & soul with fabian m thomas
by Sankofa Arts & Facilitation
This is a celebration of life through poetry, spoken word, storytelling, music, drag and dance personalized through my lived experience. I want it to be a warm hug to the audience that involves their participation via banter, call and response, sing-a-longs, acapella song snippets plus audio and video clips from my spoken word/poetry EP, with spontaneous developments thrown in for good measure.
The performance covers issues of family, love, relationships, growing up, queerness, but it also delves into my love of music, the spoken word, the written word combined with a lot of audience interaction. words, songs & soul with fabian m thomas is an eclectic international entrée with distinct Jamaican flavour!
